1977 23 ft SeaCraft Center Console with 225 Mercury Optimax and dual axle heavy duty aluminum
trailer.
Hull is 23 ft 1977 Center Console SeaCraft by Potter.
Boat was purchased in 2000 from longtime owner
in Palacios, Texas.
Center console has T-top which can be easily removed and secured to bow rail for
long trips on trailer.
Leaning post / seat with removable backrest was added in 2002, along with all new
upholstery.
Motor is Mercury Salt Water Optimax 225, purchased new in 2000 which has been
upgraded with Mercury SmartCraft digital instruments.
Engine was just serviced with good compression (105-115 psi), new fuel pumps, trim motor, and water
pump.
Instruments are 2001 model Mercury SmartCraft gauges which have just been rebuilt with new
lenses and LCD panels.
Gas tank was flushed after 8 years in storage.
Engine is mounted on HydraJac
Jack-plate for shallow water.
SeaStar Hydraulic steering has new seals.
Electric trim tabs are by Lenco.
Motor comes with factory manual and Dicom software and computer interface specific for this engine.
Boat has one starter battery and two house batteries, all switchable.
Starting battery is new.
All wiring
was replaced in 2002 with teak switch box.
Voltage meter and fuel level gauge are on dash.
Custom
teak dash includes a custom compass binnacle.
Boat has been kept indoors when not in use starting in
2006.
Stern was professionally rebuilt about 15 years ago with the outer shell undisturbed.
Boat has
Single 75 gallon aluminum fuel tank which was replaced sometime around 2008.
Hull has never been
painted.
Fiberglass is sound.
Dive platform with ladder on port stern just upgraded with custom teak
deck.
Aluminum trailer was bought new from McClain Trailers in Houston in 2001.
It was fitted to this boat
and has performed well in numerous trips from Texas to our summer home in Florida.
A cross bar at
back of trailer to accommodate a transom saver/engine support was added.
The trailer has dual axles.
Trailer was recently inspected with updated registration and tag.
The trailer is in good shape with surge
brakes and dual spare tires.
Trailer has sealed LCD tail lights.
Brakes are Kodiac stainless disk units,
calipers were just rebuilt (new seals), with new rotors and wheel bearings for the axle with brakes.
Boat
on trailer rides comfortably at highway speeds.
Electronics include Garmin GPSmap 162, and Hummingbird echo sounder/ fish finder.
A standard
Horizon VHF radio is mounted in a custom box under T-top with new Shakespear antenna.
The boat has
dual bilge pumps.
Fore and aft flood lights are located on the T-top.
The custom seat/leaning post for the helm includes a storage bin under the seat with a removeable back
rest and 4 rod holders.
T-top has 4 rod holders and there are 4 rod holders on gunwales.
The boat
includes running lights (forward light on bow is removeable, stern light is on T-top).
